You must have a participant ticket to purchase drag racing or oval track racing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Classes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Test and Tune – Open Test and Tune<\/p>\n\n\n\n Grudge – Pair up with your buddies to grudge race<\/p>\n\n\n\n True Street – 30-mile Cruise and then three back to back runs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n True Street \/ Street Class – for 200+ treadwear rear tires and no skinnies! Full-size fronts only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tremec Stick Shift Shootout – for H-pattern, foot-actuated stick-equipped vehicles, this is a class run within True Street and then afterward for the top 4 cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Safety & General Information<\/p>\n\n\n\n You must have proper safety equipment. EVERYONE must have a helmet as per 2025 NHRA Safety Rules. Your vehicle must pass a basic safety inspection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Drivers must have a valid state driver\u2019s license or NHRA Competition License and sign a Waiver and Release form before being allowed to participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Please keep in mind basic safety rules:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Must wear long-pants<\/p>\n\n\n\n Must wear T-shirt (no tank tops)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Closed Toe-shoes (no crocs, flip flops, sandals)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bring a helmet<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mustang Week Registration Packages<\/p>\n\n\n\n Your official Mustang Week registration package\u2014complete with your registration cards and event information\u2014will begin to be mailed around March 27, 2026. Keep an eye on your mailbox in the weeks that follow. This package ensures you’re fully prepared and ready to enjoy the event from the moment you arrive. If you purchase an entry after March 27 or at the gate, you\u2019ll need to pick up your registration package at the Event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Required Documents for Participants at tech<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mustang Week True Street<\/p>\n\n\n\n Rules & Information<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mustang Week True Street is a drag-and-drive \u201cstyle\u201d competition held during Mustang Week Drag Day, designed to test real street\/strip performance. Street-legal Mustangs, Fords, F-150s, and Ford-powered vehicles compete for fun, bragging rights, and awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Event Format<\/p>\n\n\n\n True Street competition consists of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n A mandatory 30-mile supervised street cruise<\/p>\n\n\n\n Three back-to-back 1\/8-mile drag strip passes<\/p>\n\n\n\n All competitors must complete the cruise under their own power<\/p>\n\n\n\n Safety rules apply at all times<\/p>\n\n\n\n Participants may run Test & Tune and\/or Grudge Racing before and after True Street competition. Drivers must hold a valid driver\u2019s license, and vehicles must be currently registered and insured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n IMPORTANT \u2013 READ CAREFULLY<\/p>\n\n\n\n You must complete registration and tech inspection and report to the staging lanes with your vehicle for the mandatory True Street driver\u2019s meeting. Your vehicle must be fully prepared to immediately depart for the 30-mile cruise following the driver\u2019s meeting. Failure to be staged and ready may result in disqualification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sign-In & Tech Inspection<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you have your registration package, proceed to tech inspection. Average awards)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mandatory Driver\u2019s Meeting & Cruise<\/p>\n\n\n\n Driver\u2019s Meeting<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mandatory attendance in the staging lanes<\/p>\n\n\n\n Followed immediately by the street cruise<\/p>\n\n\n\n Vehicles must be lined up and ready to leave<\/p>\n\n\n\n True Street Cruise<\/p>\n\n\n\n 30-mile supervised cruise on public roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Only vehicles that passed tech may participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Passengers are permitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n All participants are responsible for obeying traffic laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Support vehicles may follow behind the cruise group but must remain behind the escort, are not part of the official competition, and must obey all traffic laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cruise completion is mandatory, vehicles unable to complete the cruise under their own power, within the allotted time, will be disqualified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Vehicles falling behind the trailing escort will be disqualified<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cool-Down Period \u2013 After the cruise, vehicles return directly to the staging lanes for a group cool-down period (approximately 15\u201345 minutes). During this time:<\/p>\n\n\n\n You may NOT open the hood. Opening the hood results in DQ from awards (vehicle may still race).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Trunk or hatch may be opened<\/p>\n\n\n\n You may refuel, change nitrous bottles, and pack intercooler ice as long as it doesn’t involve opening the hood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n No tire changes allowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Race Process<\/p>\n\n\n\n When called to load, competitors must prepare for three back-to-back passes<\/p>\n\n\n\n Hoods, decklid or trunk, must remain closed until all three runs are completed<\/p>\n\n\n\n No adding fuel, nitrous, or ice once racing begins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n .400 Pro Tree<\/p>\n\n\n\n Courtesy staging encouraged<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tire pressure adjustments allowed between runs<\/p>\n\n\n\n Additional Rules<\/p>\n\n\n\n Runs must occur in the same order as the first pass<\/p>\n\n\n\n No intentional delays or extra cool-down time<\/p>\n\n\n\n Parachute repacking permitted if required, without delaying competition<\/p>\n\n\n\n Vehicle must start under its own power<\/p>\n\n\n\n No external battery charging permitted<\/p>\n\n\n\n Final Standings & Awards<\/p>\n\n\n\n After all three passes, E.T.s are averaged<\/p>\n\n\n\n Final standings are determined<\/p>\n\n\n\n Awards presentation will take place on Saturday at Mustang Week<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mustang Week Test & Tune\/Grudge \u2013 Rules & Information<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is a non-payout class where you are just making the best runs you can \u2013 it\u2019s more about fun than competition. It\u2019s 1\/8 mile and a .400 pro tree. You can race a buddy or just race the clock. This class will run the entire day, and there will be a staging lane setup. You can also be a Grudge\/No-Time lane if you prefer (there will be a lane for this).
