Taylor Harris and Robert Henson are in a tight battle for the Ecostock track championship. Harris holds a 43-point lead over Henson, but with a full field anything can happen, including a swapping of the top two spots before the season finale.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBoth Robert and Taylor have been consistent all season long, so it is of no surprise that they are the two battling it out for the Ecostock championship,\u201d said John Mandabach, vice president and general manager of Houston Motorsports Park. \u201cYou can expect them both to be at their very best at Fiesta’s Fall Fastival on Oct. 12, where one wrong move can jumble things heading into the final race of the season.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

While Harris and Henson will be doing battle, there are championships still to be won in all of the NASCAR classes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

NASCAR Fiesta Modified points leader Joe Aramendia and NASCAR Stock car points leader David Webster hold substantial leads in their respective classes, while the NASCAR BWFS COKE Truck series is as close as it has been all season. Rick Pollaro leads Zach Knowles by just 25 points, and neither driver is ready to give the other an inch.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere is not much else to say about the battle Pollaro and Knowles have been waging all season at Houston Motorsports Park,\u201d Mandabach said. \u201cThe NASCAR BWFS COKE Truck class has been downright outstanding all year long. We have had six different winners this season and one of the best championship battles this track has ever seen. I can’t wait for the fireworks on Saturday night.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Tickets are available for this exciting night of racing for $5 at area Fiesta Marts, or for $12 on Saturday night at the gate.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFans that purchased tickets for our event on Sept. 28 that was rained out are in luck,\u201d Mandabach said. \u201cWe will be honoring those tickets for the newly named event on Oct. 12.
