Mustang Week True Street

Rules & Information

Mustang Week True Street is a drag-and-drive “style” competition held during Mustang Week Drag Day, designed to test real street/strip performance. Street-legal Mustangs, Fords, F-150s, and Ford-powered vehicles compete for fun, bragging rights, and awards.

Event Format

True Street competition consists of:

A mandatory 30-mile supervised street cruise

Three back-to-back 1/8-mile drag strip passes

All competitors must complete the cruise under their own power

Safety rules apply at all times

Participants may run Test & Tune and/or Grudge Racing before and after True Street competition. Drivers must hold a valid driver’s license, and vehicles must be currently registered and insured.

IMPORTANT – READ CAREFULLY

You must complete registration and tech inspection and report to the staging lanes with your vehicle for the mandatory True Street driver’s meeting. Your vehicle must be fully prepared to immediately depart for the 30-mile cruise following the driver’s meeting. Failure to be staged and ready may result in disqualification.

Sign-In & Tech Inspection

If you have your registration package, proceed to tech inspection. If not, go to registration.

Once approved, a tech sticker will be applied to your vehicle.

After tech, you may participate in Test & Tune, then report to the staging lanes for the mandatory driver’s meeting (listen for announcements).

Competition Rules

Each vehicle will make three (3) 1/8-mile

ETs will be averaged from all three

Mustang Week Test & Tune/Grudge – Rules & Information

This is a non-payout class where you are just making the best runs you can – it’s more about fun than competition. It’s 1/8 mile and a .400 pro tree. You can race a buddy or just race the clock. This class will run the entire day, and there will be a staging lane setup. You can also be a Grudge/No-Time lane if you prefer (there will be a lane for this). You must pass safety tech, and have a valid US Driver’s license and/or a license for your ET.
